Religion is taught by Deacon Kane. He has graduated from seminary and is in his Pastoral year. He will be ordained a Priest in 2022. Each student attends Daily Mass every day of the week in Middle School. The curriculum used is Spirit of Truth from Sophia Institute Press.
The 6th Graders learn about the Bible, its structure, and how it was put together and how it affects our daily lives.
The 7th Graders study on how to be formed as a disciple of Christ and how to grow in virtue by staying close to Jesus and the Church. They also dive into St. John Paul II's Theology of the Body in the spring semester.
The 8th graders learn about society, Church history, and how Catholics are called to be involved in social justice and morality. They also dive into Theology of the Body during the fall semester.
Each grade is taught more and more about the Faith as the school year moves forward. Each student is encouraged to cultivate a relationship with Christ and his Church and to grow as not only an esteemed member of society, but also as a faithful Catholic for the rest of their lives.
