School begins at 7:50 a.m. Students are considered tardy if not in class when the 7:50 bell rings. There is no one supervising the children until 7:40 a.m. Students can wait outside, unsupervised, until the bell rings.
School is dismissed at 3:15 p.m. The first Friday of each month students are dismissed at 11:30 a.m. so that teachers can attend professional development. When students are not in attendance on the first Friday, there won't be an early release that month.
Preschoolers are not required to wear uniforms. Kindergarten to 8th grade have a uniform dress code. Mass dress uniform is required on Wednesdays. All polo shirts and outerwear must have the school crest embroidered on them. These items can be purchased from Lands’ End. Used uniforms are available for a reduced price at the beginning and end of the school year and available upon request.
Daily Mass begins at 8:00 a.m. Grades 2 through 8 attend daily Mass Monday-Friday starting at the beginning of the year. Kindergarten does not attend Mass 1st quarter except for Holy Days. Soon thereafter, they attend Mass once per week and Holy Days. First grade attends Mass on Fridays during 1st semester and twice a week and Holy Days during second semester. Mass on Wednesday is a school lead Mass with grades 1-8 alternating during the school year. Students participate in the readings, Prayers of the Faithful and Presentation of the Gifts. You may pay the entire year’s tuition all at once and receive a 2% discount, or you may spread out tuition payments on a monthly basis. If you pre-register your child, tuition payments through TADS begin in July until the following June.
Yes, we have financial aid available to all Catholic families for students in grades K - 8.
Communication about current news and upcoming events is sent home via E-blast every Thursday afternoon and in your family folder the last Thursday of the month. We also send Flash Alerts if there is an item that needs to be conveyed immediately, such as school delays or closures. You can also follow us on Facebook to stay up to date with school happenings!
Yes, lunch can be purchased for $2.25/day (Grades K-1) and $2.50/day (Grades 2-8). Students can “supersize” their lunch for $1.00. This will give them an additional serving of the main entrée. Milk is available in white or chocolate for .10¢. Contact the school office for information. Hot lunch is not served when school is dismissed at 11:30 am.
Yes. Our beautiful library is located in the Church Administration building. The school has a fully equipped computer lab with touch screen computers. Project Lead the Way is also conducted in the computer lab for students in grades K - 8.
We follow the direction of the Diocese of Colorado Springs and Cheyenne Mountain School District 12. The recording is changed on the school phone to reflect any cancellations or snow delays, an email will be sent through TeacherEase, and facebook will be updated. You can also sign up with FlashAlert (at no charge) to receive updates via email and/or your cell phone. Information can also be found on local TV station KKTV 11.
