"Let the children come to me, and do not prevent them; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." ~Matthew 19:14
As a Catholic school community, St. Paul Catholic School (SPCS), partners with parents to educate our children both academically and spiritually. While the core curriculum challenges students and keeps SPCS a front-runner in advanced curriculum, high standardized test scores, and academic excellence, our responsibilities far exceed the scholastic needs of our students. As Catholic educators we also share responsibility for the spiritual formation of our students ensuring they grow in wisdom, virtue, and in grace to become successful, faith filled leaders they are called to be.
Catholic schools provide daily opportunities to learn about our Catholic faith, and at SPCS we are blessed to begin each school day by joining St. Paul's parishioners at 8:00 a.m. Mass. What better opportunity to build a deep, personal relationship with Christ than to begin each day attending Mass, listening to the Word of God, and receiving Him in Holy Communion? Grades 2 through 8 attend daily Mass Monday - Friday, while grade K and grade 1 attend Mass on Wednesday. Mass on Wednesday is a school lead Mass with grades 1-8 alternating during the school year. Students participate in the readings, Prayers of the Faithful, Presentation of the Gifts and sing in the choir.
We are committed in our mission to create a love of learning, a desire to live the Catholic faith, and encouragement to begin a life-long commitment to the Eucharist and Mass.
